Hey gents I'm new around here and just got me a lease in Perry County. I went and drove the property yesterday and it looks pretty good. Lots of undergrowth as it was clear cut some years back so it won't be easy hunting but they have planted food plots. Anyway due to the reasonable price and good natured members I joined and am excited for next season. Do any of y'all have any experience in Perry County? I'm specifically south of libellville. Thanks

Whitwell is one mountain west of chattanooga it's about a three hour drive for me but I'm used to having to drive. I used to drive from the Dallas area down to south Texas to hunt so my drive to Perry county isn't so bad.

Welcome to TN and to the site, by far the best place for TN hunting info and talking to good people.
My wife is from and my in-laws are from Warren, TX. Was down there 2 years ago trying to get a hog, hope you have better luck with the TN deer, LOL.

Welcome to Tn.The deer are here .It will be hard hunting the thick cut overs. You are on a lease with other hunters a lot will depend on them and the people that are hunting around you. The Rut will usually hit around the 2nd week of M.L. season.

Yeah I figure the big boys will be hiding down in the bottoms so this summer I'm going to do some scouting and try to find some sign down there and set up near it. I figure I won't see as many deer but hopefully I'll find the old bruiser down there.
