I hope the day never comes where I have to use my gun for self defense but if it does I will not hesitate. She can keep her beliefs and I will keep my life.

Maybe she can have that engraved on her headstone? I would like to see what she would actually do if she had a gun and a gunman had a gun pointed at her kids head?

Yep, similair to what Dale3 stated above, when push comes to shove and a person is being attacked our animal instinct takes over and you will fight to survive. Just like a person drowning, you will panic and grab at anything within reach in a struggle to survive until you suffocate.
