Been a while since i waded the clinch, was checking my waders and something got into my building and has chewed on them. Can't remember for the life of me how think they were. What do you guys recommend to stay warm in the water up at the clinch 3.5 or 5mm ?

And do you guys use the ones with boots built in, or the stocking foot and buy different boots

Mine are 5mm and have the stockings. I put the rock slippers on over them. I think mine are the old brown Remington brand.

I fished it fine with uninsulated waders, but then again, I was going during the summer...

I wear 1600 duck hunting waders... I'm not getting cold.
My wife did it in the summer with the little rubber waders... But not this guy.

Mine are breathable, but they keep more warm enough with somewhat cold water (like the Caney Fork---I've never fished the Clinch, so I don't know the temp difference). And its one that has the boots attached, which I really find great, but I do worry about them tearing apart with the weight of the boots.

I wear breathable stockingfoot waders with a pair of wading boots overtop. Under them, I wear a pair of fleece long underwear made for snow skiing. This combination has a lot more functionality than a pair of neoprene waders.

That is a heck of an idea! I may have to look into that. Where did you find the fleece at?

I've had the same 2 pairs for somewhere around 15 years. Yea, i weigh the same at 42, that I did at 27. I would think you could pick up a pair of fleece sweatpants at k-mart or Target for cheap.
