The stocking schedule gives the week trout are released. Am I correct in assuming the release could be any time that week? For example, the release date for Piney Creek is Feb. 24. Does that mean it could be anytime Mon. Through Saturday? Thank for the help.

no they stock on the date it says, unless it's postponed or canceled. right here was stocked yesterday on schedule

I know for places like tellico/citico their stocking date listed in the twra regs says March 17, but they do not stock until thursday of the week of the 17th. With no fishing allowed on thursday and fridays.
So some areas are different.

they stock the week of down around my county they never stock on the exact day the book says

Everyone is kind of right. The trout stocking takes just a bit of study. I recommend that you use the actual guide, not the online version, because it's less confusing if you can turn the pages back-and-forth.

There are different flavors of trout stocking. The winter put-and-take stocking is done on the exact date. Tailwater stocking is simply "March thru November" in most cases and may occur at any tme during the month. Stream stocking will take place on any day during the specified week.

It really is hard to describe, but when you look at the guide you can see the distinctions.
