I'd let bw right an article and let him post the pic in his local paper. Don't care for the record book. My friends know where I hunt, so it wouldn't take long for the whereabouts to come around. I'd probably let catman boil it down for me. I'd do it for free and would be a nervous wreck until it came out perfect, but I would be honored to boil a skull from a 215 inch deer

I'd have to enter it, but like others said I would keep mum about exactly where I got it. Maybe even tell people it came from a different area of the county where it really came from.

I suspect that I'd have a shoulder mount done on a buck of that caliber as opposed to a skull mount.

I would be very quiet until I sold the story and pics for all I could get. Then I would make every dollar I could because I may need the money.
I would then license someone to make replicas and sell them and finally, I would let me heirs sell the head for all they could get.
That is exactly 180 degrees from what I would have done a few years ago.

Can you imagine everything you could list that attributed to you killing that buck that you might could try to make a buck off of?

I voted to post pics on the internet... via Tndeer. I like looking at pics of good bucks and reading the story behind the kill. I like sharing my hunting story with like minded individuals. I don't care about shouting from the mountain top and I could care less about entering a buck into the books. Only a chosen few would know exactly where I killed the buck. As far as money gained from the kill, I like money. I wouldn't be opposed to making a few bucks off the story of the hunt or the pics of the deer but not if it jeopardized what I deem as the integrity of hunting.
Well said, and I concur.

Now thats a well thought out plan. I would like to do the same but doubt I could carry through with it, since I would be pretty happy and want to tell everyone.
