Caught my first walleye yesterday on Cherokee Lake. I didn't measure it but I did weigh it... 4 lbs 3 oz.
He didn't fight like I thought they would. Didn't have anyway of keeping him in water till I got home since I wasnt in my boat so I stuck him in a plastic bag on the back of the truck. 40 degrees and 45 minutes later he went under the knife... After he bit me! How in the world he still had enough life to bite me then is beyond me. 5 minutes later he was making his way to 400 degrees for 20 minutes. 5 minutes later he was sitting nicely beside some lightnin bread and Texas Pete. Made for some fine eating.

Caught a couple on Dale Hollow, pretty good eating. I plan on being at dale hollow for a week this summer to catch walleye, and smallmouth, if there are any left.

I was fortunate enough to stand beside a fish cooker while crappie, sauger, channel cat, and flathead catfish were being cooked at the same time. After doing a side by side taste sample you could really tell the difference between fishes. Sauger is awesome.
