Has anyone planted Maxmillian sunflowers for wildlife?
How easy are they to establish?
Thanks

peredovik sunflower seed will probably be quite a bit cheaper and will work just as well, the last that I purchased was from the Co-op in Brownsville Tn and it was $25.00 for a 50# sack, I am sure the price is a little higher now

I've heard of some people just buying the sunflowers from walmart that are used for bird feeders. I think jmb4wd tried this and had good results.

Peredoviks are awesome, and 50 will go a Loooooong way! Ive been using the same bag for a couple of years on my small plot.
Like droptine said, the old black oil type from wally world will do pretty good too. I usually mix the two varietys to make them go alittle farther.
