Finally it will be much easier to bring home a mess of wild trout, old limit in wild streams was three fish, nine inches long. Most the larger trout are around seven or eight inches. New regs are five fish no size limit. This is long over due, I'm excited! Thankyou TWRA!!!

Is this for all wild trout streams or just some?

Now they need to do the same thing for the Caney Fork.

It appears to be for all (wild) streams. There used to be a size limit on Brookies but not anymore.

It is not for all wild trout streams. For example, slickrock creek has a limit of 4 trout with a length minimum of 7 inches.

Was this in the 13/14 guide? I tried to find something on Slickrock and didn't see anything. I must have over looked it...

Yes, one or two boxes above the "wild stream" box.

I totally get your position but wholeheartedly disagree. I don't have anything against you or anyone else taking fish out.
But for me, the value of catching a wild fish is 100x more than eating it. Depleting the resource in even a small way isn't worth it to me. I wouldn't have the slightest idea what creel limits are on any trout river because it wouldn't matter.

I used to eat them, but something just changed. I've caught many thousands on the Caney Fork and never kept one. Just not for me.
Again, before anyone gets huffy, it's not my business what anyone else does within the legal regs.

I did see a pretty funny shirt tonight that said, "Fillet and Release."

What is "wild" trout stream? One that isn't stocked?
