These people on armslist are driving me crazy. I got a M&P shield right before Christmas, and finally shot it. Great little gun. However, there's a dude on armslist selling one for $700!!! Like get it while you can..blah,blah,blah.
I soooo want to post mine up there for $500...just to tick him off.

Some people, I swear.

Nobody is forcing you to pay $700 for a Shield. It's not price gouging. That's just his asking price. You don't like it, move on to the next seller. No big deal. Capitalism.

I have no issue with it. Maybe the guy isn't really interested in selling it? Maybe he's only interested in selling it if someone is willing to pay $700 for it?

My friend had 700 acres of prime whitetail land in Missouri. He put it up for sale way over market price. It appraised substantially less than what he was asking for it. He left it on the market for 3 years and refused to budge on the price because he didn't really need or want to sell it. Well guess what? Some multimillionaire looked at it last fall and paid him cash for it so he could have it for hunting season. My friend made a small fortune and bought a smaller place closer to home. There is nothing wrong with someone trying to sell something for a high price.

Competition is a beautiful thing. If the gun is only worth $400 then the only way he's going to sell that gun is if some fool or some wealthy guy pays him for it.

No problem with it either. Got a deer rifle that I love, but if you are a fool and want to give me double for it send me a PM and its yours. FTF only, and pick me up some lunch on your way. Hurry every chance you get.

in the words of winston churchill
Churchill: Madam, would you sleep with me for five million pounds?
Socialite: My goodness, Mr. Churchill… Well, I suppose… we would have to discuss terms, of course…
Churchill: Would you sleep with me for five pounds?
Socialite: Mr. Churchill, what kind of woman do you think I am?!
Churchill: Madam, we’ve already established that. Now we are haggling about the price.

I keep hearing ammo compared to gas or milk and bread.22 Ammo is not a necessity. It's a want. I kept getting slammed on here because I was asking more for my ar than retail. It's always the ones whining that didn't prepare for the shortage of ammo or guns. If someone will pay double or triple the price for an item, then it's the consumers fault. Not the sellers. Everyone I know who is looking for ammo is not completely out. They are building up their supply so they can shoot. So it is not a necessity. Is anyone on here selling ammo on ye classifieds for what retail was before this shortage? No.

oh boo hoo... it is simple.. if it is too much, then do not buy it... why are you letting one person get to you for what they are selling a gun for. it is called capitalism...

I know what we need... Goverment price control of all sales no matter what they are.... How would you likr that.... Sound commie to me.

You sound very liberal when you talk like this... let me guess, if you do not like a television show, you wany it removed instead of just changing the channel.... think about it.

Pay me double and I'll put double in the offering plate. I'm sure the preacher won't mind. Regarding businesses, those that overcharge don't stay in business. It's that simple.
