It's gonna be a great day! Me and a bud have a trip planned to a tiny backwoods stream that "used" to be loaded with native brook trout. Haven't been there in bout ten years but I hope they are still there. No trails leading in, just crawling through laurel for bout a mile. I've got a brand new custom built 3wt decked out with a Orvis Rocky Mountain 2 that needs to get wet! I will post a report upon return of said trip.

sounds like fun. i love that kind of fishing. the things you go through for a 4 inch fish.

The hatches should be coming off good by then. Should be an awesome trip. I'm headed out today, hoping to catch some quill gordons hatching. Maybe some browns will be looking up.
