I have 1000 Loblolly Pines to plant. They arrived this past Wednesday. I planted 50 Thursday afternoon before dark, 50 more Friday between work and dark. Got up this morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed. I was able to plant 60 before I was just slap worn out.

Looks easy to do. Ram the dibble bar in the ground, shove forward to create a hole, remove dibble, drop in pine seedling, ram dibble back in ground about 4 inches in front of the pine and pull handle back toward you to fill the gap around seedling, take your heel and tamp the ground in around the seedling. The first 20 or so are easy. \:D The dang bending is what kills you after a few.

I am glad I don't do this for a living. I would walk around stooped over all the time.

Heading back out for round 4 in a few minutes.

That is why I put my kids to work on them. They are close to the ground.

I planted 400 trees today. I feel like a giant muscle spasm right now. If I got it, it hurts right now.

Yup, plan on doing it myself here in the next couple of years. Not sure how many trees I'll end up planting, at least a few acres. What are you setting your spacing at?

I am trying for a consistent 8 foot spacing.
