I had that problem with the people across the street... Free roaming dog but she always pooped in my yard. I talked to the neighbor... From upstate NY... And he got her to quit. Believe it or not their kids actually cleaned the poop out my yard a couple of times before she got the idea not to come over here.

Nothing worse that running across it with mower and then parking in the garage.

I poured bacon grease all over the poop.

Then I watched the neighbors dog come over and eat his own poop, and go back home. I assume he would get the squirts after a few hours.
Every morning I would inspect the front yard. If there was poop there, I would pour the bacon grease on the poop. The poop was always gone by the time I got back from work.

Anyway, just kept pouring the bacon grease, and eventually there were no dogs pooping in my yard.

I think people caught on...

That's awesome!

Did they eventually quit and learn which yard was theirs? I don't mind crap but it'd bad enough seeing all of it from my dogs. Yet alone someone else's in a part of my yard where my dogs never roam to potty

No, he slung poo on their front porch the entire time they lived there. It was literally like 10 years daily. Its worth mentioning that he went to them nicely a couple times before he started putting it on their porch.

If its like the last neighborhood I lived in the driveway was right on the property line. I think I had one foot of grass to cut over the driveway. So if that's the case not much you can do other than tell him how you feel about it being so close to the line. May can see if HOA if there is one addresses the situation of county ordinance of some type does. Good luck tonight

I'd introduce myself and confront him. My dogs crap in my yard and I shovel it in bags and haul if off. I hate people who walk there dogs and let them poop whereever.
