I read where TWRA is releasing 1250 rainbow trout in both Franklin and Spring Hill. I think this is a tremendous benefit to locals but noticed it is done on a Friday. To me, this is the type of activity adults with their children can enjoy together and can be used to promote fishing and an outdoors lifestyle to our youth. Wouldn't this be more inclusive and beneficial to have done on a Saturday?

I fished and caught the released trout in the Memphis area for several years and in my experience they don't bite well the first day as they are pretty shook up. Day 2 is usually much better and for at least several days after. I've caught a limit up to three weeks after a release so gather the kids and go catch some bows. It's fun.

it has always been on a friday here, for some reason. The day after stocking is also good fishing because the trout haven't broken up much, so I wouldn't worry about it.
