I was at John Tully two weeks ago around blue pond and I have been wondering if anybody fish the lakes and ponds around John Tully PS this is my first post here thanks

Welcome to the site! I have fished the chute and the creek. Never much to brag about. Need a shotgun for the carp!!

Welcome to the site! I have fished the chute and the creek. Never much to brag about. Need a shotgun for the carp!!
Same here, I always manage to catch a few bass and I was told last year was the best for bream in a while. Ft. Pillow lake is always good for a few fish.

I used to absolutely despise Cold Creek. Then one day I was there and something clicked and I started catching them and it's one of my favorite places to fish now.

I'm glad to hear you actually found Blue Pond. I use to hunt the west side of Blue Pond on Forked Lake I believe. Boy it's been awhile ago but it use to be some fine hunting before they logged the woods and made it almost impossible to hunt.
I have fished Blue Pond and have caught some fine crappie, but like I said that has been maybe 18 yrs ago.

Fished cold creek today. Creek is 46 and muddy but the chute has clears up well.

How deep is the chute somebody told that the chute was really shallow how the catfish in the chute

No it isn't, middle is still 20-30 feet deep when the river isn't in it. It's the old channel of the Mississippi River, state line runs right through it. Caught nice 2-5 lb channel cats in it.

People use jugs and trout lines on the chute all the time.
