With the recent Comcast post got me to thinking . I can get a better deal for home Internet and tv with AT&T but I have never tried them before . I would rather not support Comcast anymore , but does anyone know AT&T 's views ? Are they any better ?

I have some dated info. Back several years ago, AT&T would match a lot of nonprofit donations made by employees. This included a lot of organizations that typical outdoors folks wouldn't cater to at all, and also some that we would. Don't know if its still that way or not.

The one thing I'll say about Comcast, and I include most Hollywood types too, is that it is ironic that they support gun violence as long as they can make a buck on it.

AT&T is one of the largest political lobbying corporations in the country. This is mainly because so much of their business is heavily impacted by the Federal and State governments. AT&T spends big bucks lobbying politicians each year. They have their own PAC and some of their employees also make a sizable amount of individual political donations. They give money to both parties, but they tend to favor Republicans. The split is probably about 60/40 in favor of Republicans. The same is true for Verizon.

Comcast and Time Warner favor Democrats.
