Y'all do know bass are full of worms right!?

and not in their stomach they are in the meat itself.

if you fillet a bass and hold it up to the sun you can see them in the meat, they are the same color as the meat but you can tell their in there.

I have seen a very few in crappie one here and there but nothing like in Bass.

I'm quite sure the hot grease rinders then quite tasty, but a heads up on grilling them. If you fillet a fresh caught Bass and throw it on a hot grill the worms will crawl right up out of the meat and that my friend will make the beer in your left hand taste like the mud at the bottom of Reelfoot lake. and it might even curb your appetite. \:\)

Happy eating!

I was filleting summer flounder one time and had a worm come out of the meat. Took a pic and kept going on. \:D

Ill have to remember the tip about bass. Just largemouth or also smallmouth?

I've seen worms in other stuff as well, but I wasn't always 100% sure what I was looking at. I rarely clean fish that haven't been put on ice for a while, just due to travel time. Consequently, I think the extreme cold kills them off. But I'm pretty sure I've seen long, skinny, flesh-colored worms come out of white bass and stripers, and bream a few times (although less common).

Always wondered if they came from attachment of eggs to their skin/scales, or if they were ingested and then "migrated" out of their gut.

No big deal, cooking kills everything.

I was a lobster fisherman when i lived in Maine and when we would catch cod in the traps, we cut them up and use them for bait. Those things are loaded with worms, it makes me look at fish sticks a little differently.
