As we begin the hunt this morning, we gear everyone and start up the ridge. There are a lot of starts and stops as cameramen try to get different angles, or a mic cuts out. We get to the hollow where we plan to post up and cut into the woods. I stop us and have everyone scan trees for a bit. it starts to feel like we're really hunting.
On the move again, I pause and kneel to point out some droppings. I explain difficulty differentiating squirrel from rabbit, and pick up a few pellets. "Sorry!" says a cameraman, "I'm losing battery." while he fixes his gear, the 2nd cameraman swoops in for a close-up of the poo. "I can smell it," he says with a sneer of distaste. 
Riveting stuff, this dung identification.
"OK, start where you left off," says cameraman 1. The fact that the droppings are adjacent to this log may indicate squirrel, says I, but there's only one way to know for sure. I pop a few into my mouth. "Yep, rabbit," says I to my drop-jawed friends. "Rabbit has raisins in it; squirrel always has peanuts." Then I stand up and walk on.
