I didn't want to go off topic on the carry thread, but just out of curiosity... You guys that like your IWB holsters, how much bigger do you usually get your pants? Would 1 size up do it comfortably?

its not a matter of bigger pants for me, but loosening the belt one notch. My legs are weird, so my pants are usually a little bigger in the waist so they fit me through the thight(athletic build).

I would say for a normal person one size up should do the trick.

I have some room in my pants as well, so I just have to loosen the belt..

If your pants are snug, I would say 1 size up would work.

I'm a weird in-between size. But since pants are so dramatically different from mfg. to mfg., I just try them on. I wear 36 Carhartts, 38 dress pants from Jos. A Bank, and usually 36 khakis. I'm probably a true 1" underneath each one, but since their cuts are different, as are their styles, there's no set rule for how I select pants.

I carry between the belt and pants a lot of the time.
