Just follow the instruction in the box and make very very sure you follow the one that says,,,,,,MARK ALL THE EXISTING WIRES
And as well, if you have heat pump make sure your check to see if it will handle the heat pump,,,,,,
sometimes the correct wiring isnt shown for heat pump, but the help line is very good at giving you the wiring configuration
as I had to call on mine, was simple, only took about 30 minutes to totally remove, tag and reinstall

If you do this, it's easy. If you don't, it can be a nightmare!

some of the older thermostats are not wired the same as the new ones especially if you have and older outside unit
if you have a newer outside unit it has a circuit board on it and should be straight forward but if its an older one you may have to take the cover off the out side unit to see how its wired that can get really hairy even for someone that knows what they are doing

Just changed one out myself. Make sure and mark wires.

It's not hard if you know what you're doing. That thermostat is not just a pull the old one off and slap it on there kinda deal. It will have to be programed. You will have to enter in your system type and tell it to energize your reversing valve in heating or cooling mode, as well as other settings you will have to set.
