Get one now. Save up and get the other later. Either is better than nothing and you can always add another at a later time. If it comes to it, flip a coin and just remember you'll have the other at some point.

I started with a J-Frame .38 in a pocket holster and added a Glock 19 9mm, an M&P .40C, a Ruger LCP .380, and soon to be a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911 .45 ACP.

Eventually you'll have enough to where you'll pick your gun-o-the-day based on the weather and what type of clothing you'll be wearing that day.

Whatever caliber you want. 9mm is harder to come by than .40 right now, but it's cheaper to shoot.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that if you're not going to carry on the hip, don't bother....but that's just me.

It all boils down to your personal preference and how the gun fits your hand and carry style.

mine glock 23 is a 9mm. you dont even have to shoot at the bad guys, just hold it up and let them gaze at its uglyness and they will either flee or commit suicide, genocide or possibly even herbicide.

S&W 642 Airweight shooting 38+P. Slips in your pocket and is hammerless so nothing to hang on.

What iwb holster does he use? I'm trying to figure out the best one for a bigger guy.
