Myself and a buddy would like to do a DIY merriams hunt. Any of you guys know of a good place to go?
Not opposed to public land if the birds are there.

I've heard the same. An online buddy on the NWTF site told me he travels from CO a lot and gets a bird more times than not.

SD and WY is a good combo to hit up some Merriams. We are headed to SD mid April. Its a long drive to hunt only one turkey, so we are making it a hunting/backpacking trip. SD has a 100% black hills draw for NR usually.

I would recommend the black hills in South Dakota !! That place is full of turkeys !! I can show you on a map where it is !!
