This flock of hens is a 100+ if you could see the whole field it's pretty ridiculous...They won't leave this plot till they break up in the spring! I couldn't even deer hunt it cause you can't hear a thing up there! Their so loud the deer don't even like to come around them.... There's a couple other groups 50+ on the property as well.

If the deer don't come around them then I hope some fall hunting would be an option....
A few limits of Toms ain't going to do it but maybe one well placed grenade might... KIDDING!!! I Wish you could shoot hens in the spring too. Killing them is the only way to maybe help out some. These guys leave NO food behind! I'll take you out there come spring like we talked. Will kill a couple gobblers at daylight and go wade for big smallmouth the rest of the day... The 2nd half of the day will be fun!

are there catfish in the creek? turkey liver and heart work good. I could set out a line on the bottom while fishing for smallies

Never tried for Cats. I know there's some in there though cause I seen a copperhead that had one by the face last year floating down the creek while fishing. If you want catfish than we could set some limb lines in the river where I know they're while we wade the creek for the small jaws.

If your looking for fish to eat? I generally keep the spots and red eyes for the fish frys. Them cold water spring fed red eyes are TASTY!!!! I take a mess of them over some ole cats anyday!
