I watched 30 to 45 minutes of this movie last night on netflix.

The new one with the Bridges guy.

Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.

I was really shocked how bad it was.

Just my opinion though.

Did you get your netflix to work? I am sure I miss a bunch of good movies with netflix because if they don't get me interested in the first ten minutes I am off to the next one.

But yea, that one was not very good.

It will work if I run it through the xbox.
Without the xbox it just says cannot connect to netflix.
Bobby G even tried and couldn't get it to work.

Dunno what the deal is.

Basically, it was bad but I liked the girl that played Kim Darby's role. If you've ever seen Bridges in that movie where he played the aging alcoholic country star who makes a comeback then you probably see that he just was the same character in both..

You are right coach his character was the same. I just watched that other movie about a month ago. And it is not to bad. For the life of me I can't remember the title.

The Bridges' movie came closer to the book. Maybe I am not much of a movie judge but I liked bouth.

I liked both. The newer one was more accurate towards the book as best I can remember. Been about five years since I read it.

Worst movie you've ever seen? That's either a bald-face lie, of you don't get out much. Heck, I can ace that with a dozen movies and never even shift my feet while perusing the flicks at the store!

I was biased against it as a John Wayne remake, but danged if I didn't enjoy the new one! I read the book in there as well, which made me appreciate the new one a little more than I might have.

Actually my biggest complaint was that I could not for the life of me fit Matt Damon into the film.
