I got a 1985 Bass Tracker Guide V 16. It has a 35 hp Mercury on it.
Still got some cleaning up to do on her but I love her so far.

Yep !!!!! The Sunday morning before I got hurt Bobby G and I were coming through Paris pulling my camper headed home. Had a blow out and discovered a few things.
I needed a spare without a hole in it. I needed a floor jack with me all the time. I needed tools with me all the time.
Thank Goodness for tophat that morning for sure. I have all that other stuff now.

I know what ya mean on the tools. I've carried a star tire tool, plug kit and a 12v air compressor in my truck since, well, let's just say it's a good idea. Sounds like you're ready for Spring to me.

How about towing your bass rig down the Interstate at 70 MPH and seeing a shower of sparks out the side view mirror! Pulled off the road and saw the wheel was gone off the right side, wheel, tire, and all! Walked back 1/4 mile and found it up against the chain link fence. Called a tow truck, flatbed, hauled boat and trailer up on it. Sad sight following it home but made it back to the house..$160.00 later. I had bought the boat two weeks earlier and hadn't checked the bearings.
I wound up replacing both bearings, backing plates and brakes, both brake lines, bleeding the brakes and new fluid. Don't take any sellers word that they have "never had any issues". If I listed everything that happened to me with a Hydrasport boat and trailer I bought in 2007, you would be sending me boxes of sympathy chocolates. The trailer was only one of many "issues" I had with that combo.
