Nope, I have shot more than a jug of the BH209, and have never even had a hang fire. I would suggest using the cci 209m primers with it though.

Have a new cva wolf. Using 100 grains pyradex 240xtp and winchester209 primer and old tasco scope. Nothin fancy or expensive. Clean with hot water and dish detergent. These are good rifles as they are.

This is sound advice. I will never shoot pellets again. P.s. the better cleaner white hot pellets. Yeah don't fall for that they suck as bad as normal pellets.

ok, so I got back from wally world a min ago. I just ended up going with a box of triple seven pellets for now. Also got some winchester 209 triple seven primers. A bullet starter and some foaming bore cleaner. Now what do I use to swap between shots? what kind of cleaner? Also when I clean the gun I know i use bore cleaner, but what do you use for rust prevent? can i just use rem oil?

SI just swab with a wet patch. I have even spit on a patch. Then a dry patch. Don't need a bunch of expensive cleaner or oils. Hot soapy water to cleanthen dry patch and light coat of oil. Pop a cap or two before loading.

No where seems to have bases for a scope for this gun. Any thoughts. I've tried academy. Gander and walmart.
