Took my first with a bow last year. No question (I SG as well) taking one with a broad head will be one of your most memorable hunts. Even the die-hard “lead slingers” will be impressed. Go for it!

Question, turkey hunters:
Sitting in a stand last fall I always see a few turkey scratching around. One morning early (legal light) looking over a few trees I noticed a gobbler roosting Hummmmm:
Would it be ethical, moral and a “legal” shot? Anyone take the shot if the opportunity presented itself?

Sitting in a stand last fall I always see a few turkey scratching around. One morning early (legal light) looking over a few trees I noticed a gobbler roosting Hummmmm:
Would it be ethical, moral and a “legal” shot? Anyone take the shot if the opportunity presented itself?
To my understanding its illegal to shoot out of roost

That's what I thought as well, I wouldn't take the shot myself even if it was legal. Just dosen't seem right, let him land then SMOKE him (ha).

Yep. Turkeys' eyesight is poor in low light conditions. Shooting one off the roost is just not fair. He deserves better. I would have no sense of accomplishment.
