It happens all the time...... 
Just wondering how long it will take for this thread to go from a positive post until it turns into a bash festival....
I can see the sparks flying off them ole axe....

If the officer would have cited you would you feel the same, or be trashing him for doing his job? Hope not, as silly as it sounds we need traffic enforcement.

People would be surprised how far A nice attitude will get them, course there is a certain amount over that there is no getting out of a ticket.

My dad always told us to keep your hands on the wheel, have everyone in the car remain still and visible, be polite, say yes sir and no sir, and always tell the officer what you are doing. It's gotten me out of a few tickets but not always. Honestly, 99% of the time I was wrong.

Oh I was wrong for speeding, but I really didn't mean to be speeding. I was polite, told him what I was doing. He smiled and said slow down.

20 years ago there was a woman officer near my workplace that handed out tickets left and right. Several of the women in the office had gotten tickets. One morning she got me but let me off with a warning. The women were irate, I thought it was really funny to have the shoe on the other foot for once.

i think we all appreciate what cops do, especially for what they are paid. they provide a valuable service. i think many, myself included, dont see them as heroes like we view our service men. But i do appreciate the job they do never the less. even though i average a speeding ticket every 10 months or so, lol
