I don't see that going over all that well. PO PO in Memphis is nearly as likely to start something as any body else.

Seems like the city could easily deny the application on the (very legitimate) basis of public safety.

Seems like the city could easily deny the application on the (very legitimate) basis of public safety.
But then they will show up anyway. At least with a permit, you can contain them to a small area an the police can avoid a conflict. On something like this, the city will even have them park out of the city and bus them in to the location with a police escort and contain them the entire time.
Another factor in all of this is the internal disputes of the KKK. The old school guys hate the Neo Nazi guys. When the Klan rallied in Selmer several years ago, the police had to seperate the two factions to keep them from fighting each other.

I would hope the people would ignore the rally, since the kkk is really just looking for attention.
But i have been around Memphis long enough to know thats impossible.

The Political Correctness machine will not stop until it has erased all forms of Southern White History. It is a shame that the KKK are the only White people willing to protest the renaming of Memphis parks just because their name is not politically correct anymore.
