I saw several AR's on the table at the local gunshow for $1200(unsold), in 3 months they will be back to or close to normal barring a major legislative change. (Economics 101)

Yep, prices are already on the way down, and supply should start returning a but too when people see prices coming down and start calming down.

I don't know about price drops, maybe some speculators are in need of cash because credit card bills are arriving.
Take a gander at Gunbroker for ammo prices, AR prices, 1911 45 ACP prices. Still through the roof and still being sold. Magpul 30 round mags, 3 for 99 TO START and being bid on, as much as 45 each.
When congress fails to act on the AWB then we should see panic selling and a very quick return to normalcy, provided the resident idiot in chief doesn't Executive Order us into another round of panic buying, horading, and speculation.
If you reload, try and find primers that aren't double price November's numbers.

Been paying $30 at Sportsmans, always LRM primers available and the 308win loves them. I take Gunbroker with a grain of salt, we are blessed with an abundance of gunshops in the south, in other places less competition means higher prices and less selection. Competition is good for the consumer!

Besides the AWB there are 9 other bills in Congress and so far 19 State bills. Plus the NRA has found a couple gems hiden in other bills in Congress that has nothing at all to do with guns or crime. If those bills pass it will be hard to get those parts out. Just like Obama wants us to, keep paying attention to the one single AWB bill and forget about the others.
As for prices going down, I haven't seen it. Just because they did not sell everything in the gun show doesn't mean anything. This weekend that same guy will sell both of them at another show for full price.
Today I was at the largest and busiest gun shop in Western KY and they has some CCI Mini-Mags 22LR "Choot Em", 375 rounds and a one box limit per customer. They were selling for $44.95 and flying off the shelf. I did not buy any, don't need any.

I'm waiting for the day when you can buy Colt LE6920's for 1049.00 shipped again. I need to replenish my supply. I sold off all I had at the height of the panic buying.

Prices aren't going down where I'm at! Aking price and selling prices are two different things. Last gun show I was at there were of ton of people standing outside with AR's and $2000 price tags that nobody could even care less about. I notice on all the gun forums I watch in the for sale areas you are starting to see "price reductions" and absolutley no interest in overpriced AR's, AK's, AK parts kits, mags, 223 ammo etc. Also a lot more reports of AR's hitting the shelves at WM and LGS. They are still selling fast but not at the high levels they were month ago. Give it another month and prices should be back to reasonable, although not were they were pre Sandy Hook.
