Yep, that was a small meteor.

This asteroid is several MILES bigger in size.


The one over Moscow is estimated to have been about 50 feet in diameter...although there is really no way to know its dimensions since it was never identified and studied. It was a total surprise.

The one passing by the Earth today (Asteroid 2012 DA14) has been thoroughly studied and mapped. It is about 160ft in diameter on its major axis and 70 feet on its minor axis.

I was going by what NASA gave out 4 days ago, Monday, I went back to check after his post and they changed the size.

I never knew a weatherman also did the meteors and asteroids too.
