If it's bothering you (I would straighten it myself though).... loosen the jam nut, put a pipewrench on it and twist it back, then tighten the jam nut back against it.

Ok update......tonight i changed my u joints FINALLY! ....dropped the driveshaft and pounded out old u joints....went to put new ones in and they seemed a bit oversized.....so i got my micrometer and checked....new ones measured 1.12+-...old ones measured 1.06+-...so i off back to autozone....its 7 pm got to autozone as the guy was entering info i noticed that the when he brought up my part code that the computer showed an axis A & axis B......axis A u guessed it 1.12+-.....axis B u guessed it 1.06+-.....so i was like [censored] i had it turned wrong...so off back to the house 10 miles away. Got to the house and tried again...well turns out i wasnt losing my mind....all 4 caps on old i joints measured 1.06+-.....so i went to autozone webpage and browsed the u joints for my 2000 ranger regular cab.....as i was looking i noticed that the u joints i had contained 2 snap clips different than what i pulled out of the truck then i noticed the extended cab version u joints had all 4 identical snap rings exactly like what I pulled out of old ones....so i clicked on the u joints then went to specs....and u guessed it axis A and axis B measures 1.06+-...exactly what i needed....so back to autozone 20 more miles round trip to get the extended cab u joints which ultimately fit well....truck doesn't vibrate any more but still shakes....the ride has dramatically improved

Heres a tip for when you dont have the part in hand for matching up that you want to replace when you go to the parts store. Always buy both of the options they give you, get home, use the correct one and take the other one and get a refund. No matter what, they will always give you the wrong one when faced with two or more options on the correct one that is susposed to fit. Nothing is more frustrating than having to make 2-3 trips trying to get the right part.

That is good advice. I used to live 1.5 miles from advanced auto and o'reilly's, about 2-4 minutes driving. It was no big deal.
I now live about 25 minutes from them and it's 15 miles one way. It would be a big deal now.

I will take your advice and use it next time I have to buy parts
