+ 1 for hen, It has a nice thick beard, usually only see pencil beards in the ladies.
Agree, it's a thick beard for a hen but it definitely looks to be a hen.

I have had several occasions that I could have taken a bearded hen but never have. I had an old timer tell me years ago that a bearded hen had alot better odds of producing multi-bearded toms. We don't kill the hens on the farms we hunt and have killed several mulit-bearded toms. Don't know if there is any truth to it or not, I just always give them a pass because every time I see one I remember what the ole timer told me.
