for the money a NF will cost if you buy new I would rather have a FFP Mil/Mil,which the Leupold Mark 6 has,,it is much smaller and compact also..

well for the most part I would be deer hunting & target practice some, would like to be able to shoot out to 5 to 6 hundreds

2-12 VX6,,600 is very doable with 12X and 2X will be nice in the deep dark woods,,

If your going to be using it for deer hunting and shooting to 600yds, I would get a Zeiss. But I would choose Nightforce over Leupold anyday.
