I have a TC Omega. It had the basic synthetic stock but I replaced that with a laminate thumbhole stock. This is as good as it gets for the money. Very easy to use and clean and extremely accurate. I bought mine on clearance at Wal Mart for $177 and spent another $125 on the stock, but sold the original stock for $60 to offset some of that.

The T/C OMEGA is a great gun; have sold several in a previous life. I personally think the T/C IMPACT is easier to clean as it is a true break action muzzleloader. I'm not trying to say the OMEGA is difficult to clean, but that is my biggest observation with the OMEGA vs IMPACT. I can't say I have heard anything bad about either one though. I chose the IMPACT myself because I'm a clean freak with muzzleloaders. I think any quality muzzleloader from a company like T/C will be a dandy; just like any muzzleloader, you have to figure out what kind of medicine it likes.

I also have a Omega and replaced the plastic stock with a laminate thumbhole. It has a leupold ultimate slam on top and shoots wonderful. 110gr bh209 and 250gr shockwaves gets it done....this gun has always shot good no matter which bullet or powder.

I have an Omega .50 cal SS/w laminated thumbhole stock, I love it.
My son uses it now, as I moved up to a Savage ML II a few yrs ago. I have taken deer at 150 yds with no problem at all.
