Awesome! Mind if we ask where you got it and what you paid? I've been on the lookout for one...
Nyper, Guns & Leather over in Hendersonville just got a shipment in yesterday. I paid $539 +tax. After looking all over the internet and calling everywhere, this was the best I could find at this time. Not a super deal but definately not bad either. The people over there were very nice as well. My first time doing business with them.

Im lookn for the 3.8 compact in 9mm !! Not one to be found that I am aware of....
Found several regular size 3.8 and a few like yours but I wanna stay w a 9mm.

The recoil is NOT bad at all. I've shot a full size 40 cal that has more recoil.
You will love it.

Im tryin to find a holster for it. I purchased one on ebay a while back but am trying to find a nice paddle holster.

I never told you but that ammo belonged to my office manager who has worked for me for 17 years. It belonged to her ex husband and she found it under her bed along with a bunch of 12 gauge trap loads that I bought from her. She was thrilled to get mine and your money.

My brother-in-law picked one of these up a few weeks ago. I was extremely surprised by the recoil. I figured the compact size would make it unbearable. But after 100 or so rounds each of us agreed it was money well spent.

YES!!!
The grip is important with this gun. Remember this is a 45 so shoot it like a 45 and not some 22 rimfire. Manhandle the thing like it was built to be. Your target scores will improve fast.
One other thing. When loading it slam the slide home, don't try to ease the slide in while loading a round, you will get hung up everytime. It's smaller and has a short travel so pull the slide all the way back and let it slam home.
Go to the link I posted and read the XDS forum, all the info you ever wanted to know about it is there.
Now I'm waiting on the new 9mm XDS that will be coming out this spring.

My 9mm XDM I got a few years ago was my first pistol with a grip safety and it did take a little getting used to but now I don't even think about it so this new .45 will be easy

I was going to hold out for a xds in 9mm as well intill I shot the EMP and it won me over also couldnt pass up the deal I found for it. Still may pick up a xds 9mm when it comes out.

Picked mine up tonight!! It's had 25 rounds thru it prior to me and I plan to put 50 thru it tomorrow... Ordered a set of pinky ext's a few minutes ago as well.

Actually man, I would said that is a fair deal right now. I gave 589 for mine for a stainless / black one a while back when they were newer.

Yep 539 is the lowest I've seen em anywhere.. I was lucky to find mine used with 20 rds thru it for 500 cash..
