Our economy is not as good as being publicized and the want to raise minimum wage to $9.00. Raising it does not keep up with inflation and to me creates more inflation. All that is wanted is taxes that should be generated but is never collected in the first place.

That won't fix a thing and they know it. It's another bone to throw to their voters. For liberals, that means another vote buying scheme. Have to remember that it isn't the result, it's the thought that counts!

This is the ideal political suggestion.
"Look we made those greedy business owners give you more money" all the while collectiing more tax revenue, however slight that might be. The only way it could go better for them is if they could waive their corporate sponsors of this increase.

See, he's just looking out for all the full time employees who will become part time employees when they get their hours cut due to his great healthcare plan.

Hey Crappie, I'll go ahead and volunteer to try the $1,000/hr gig to make sure it works. Wouldn't want anyone to feel like they're being taken advantage of, ya know.

This is what one of my friend wrote on facebook:
Boehner is exactly right !!! "! When you raise the price of employment, guess what happens? You get less of it," Boehner said in response to a reporter's question about the president's proposal. "Why would we make it harder for small employers to hire people? Listen, I've got 11 brothers and sisters on every rung of the economic ladder. I know about this issue as much as anybody in this town. What happens when you take away the first couple of rungs on the economic ladder, you make it harder for people to get on the ladder. Our goal is to get people on the ladder and help them climb that ladder so they can live the American dream. "A lot of people who are being paid the minimum wage are being paid that because they come to the workforce with no skills," he continued. "This makes it harder for them to acquire the skills they need to climb that ladder successfully."
