“This internal Justice Department memo says ‘an assault weapons ban is unlikely to have an impact on gun violence,’ ” NRA’s chief lobbyist Chris Cox says in the video that was provided to CNN before it aired online. “Unlikely, that is, unless it comes with something else. Obama’s experts say that a gun ban, like the one being debated right now in Congress, will not work without mandatory ‘gun buybacks and not exemptions.’ ”

Cox continued, “Mandatory gun buybacks. That’s government confiscation of legal firearms owned by honest citizens.”

Cox also said the report noted that gun registration would need to be part of the equation for universal background checks to be effective.

“Requiring gun registration with the federal government, that’s an illegal abuse of privacy and freedom unprecedented in our history,” said Cox, who then urged people to call Congress and express opposition to new gun regulations.

All the Obama lovers told us for YEARS that it would NEVER happen. But here's Obama's DOJ talking about doing it.

NOW, the cops, military, UN soldiers, Obama's private army....... they come knocking on your door to TAKE your guns.... because they KNOW you have some.... Who of YOU will say NO and demand them to leave.... knowing they won't.... Do you take defending the 2nd in your own hands and shoot badges.... or give them up?

No answer needed in public.... but you better be ready to do whatever needs doing....

They are smart. You don't always have a chance to "say no" or make some sort of last stand.

I figure the feds will just kick doors in while people are at work and take their guns. Why would they want the owner to be around when they do it?

All of this brought to you compliments of the Patriot Act and Dept. of Homeland Security - passed by a majority Republican Congress, and signed by a Republican President.

How does all that security feel now?

Missouri's turn:

Here’s part of the Democratic proposal in Missouri:

4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

I hunt and fish with police officers almost every time I go and I will tell you now that out of the ten that I know very well, every single have told me that they would turn their badges in, before they collected arms like this. I will say this, I love my brother-in-law and friends and I would never think about pulling a gun on them. They are people like you and I physically and mentally, they have families, and they are not the bad guy.

Participating in a gun buy back because you believe that the criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you believe that the neighbors have too many kids.

Just like you said that they told you they would lay down their badges so they are not the bad guys. The bad guys are the ones who do not lay down their badges and come to confiscate my legally owned firearms and my way tp protect my family. And to answer Grizzly's question..... I will fight to the end for my rights and the protection of my family. I hope that it never comes to that, but I am prepared to do what is necesary if it does.
