Any of yall ever kill or see any of these? I have only seen two in my life, never shot one. I think the only squirrel I would mount if killed would be a black fox squirrel.

Florida is over run with black ones. I think they may be more common than the red ones where i was at down there.

With a white nose? If so, that little dude has put in a TON of miles looking for acorns and pine cones.

I've seen a black gray squirrel once, but never a black fox squirrel.

What color belly do they have? Is it still orange usually?

I have killed them all my life along the Mississippi River. Had one scare me to death when I was young, I had shot one and put him in the back of my hunting vest, he crawled up on my shoulder , and the dove feathers in the bottom of my vest stuck to his bloody face. I turned and saw that ugly thing and screamed like a baby! My daddy came running and laughed at me and then told everybody at camp.
I was driving down a county road one time and had a half black(front half) and white back half. My friend and I jumped out of the truck and shot him, we should have mounted him, but neither of us had the money, still regret that.
