I was wondering what the plan for getting rid of the pigs on North umberland WMA it's run over with them in the New river area? I hunt small game there and it seems like it's getting worse everyday.

I live right next to it and Coal creek land it's just a matter of time before they are at my house, seen one today cross the road just a few miles from my house. The terrain is rough and I dont see them being thinned down without being allowed to kill them anywhere, anytime and without baiting them.I coon hunt and have seen them or sign from grave's gap to petros mountain and everywhere in between.

Fortunately, anyone that has wild hogs on their property CAN do all those things.

I have been wanting to kill some for a long time and wish I knew where I could go to do it. We don't really have any around Chatt that I know of.

So is there a list to volunteer to be added to a landowners "excemption list" as one of their 10 designees to kill wild hogs on their property using methods that traditionally are illegal. Such methods include: shooting at night, using bait all year, no weapons restrictions, etc.

I'd like to volunteer - but don't know anyone with them on their property.

You can kill hogs on ANY hunt on North Cumberland as long as you use a weapon that is legal for a season that is open.

Does that mean I can kill them while coon hunting as long as I use a gun legal for taking coons?
