Once. Didn't really taste like veal. Not bad, but not something I'd target just for the meat. The one I tried was killed on a farm in a big cornfield. Corn fed crows are apparently better than city crows.

They said it tasted like veal. I've eat groundhog carp and turtle. Might as well go for crow what does carp taste like to you? been curious but I never feel like taking one home and dealing with all the bones. Carp tastes like a shad smells but I have heard of different ways to cook it and I've heard when prepared right that it is delicious. Once was enough for me

Carp tasted like generic freshwater fish to me. That being said, I'm not a huge fish person.

I have never eaten crow, but saw a program on TV that showed guys hunting them and preparing them to eat after the hunt.
They did it two ways, One way was soaked in buttermilk for a few hrs then dredged in flour and pan fried. The other was grilled with fresh herbs.
I know it is all dark meat, very dark...........nearly black/blue looking.

When I was a child I was taught I had to eat everything I killed hunting. I would shoot crows often and would cook them up with the rest of my birds. Taste no different than a black bird to me. I would debone the breast and make a roux with some peppers and onions, and serve it over rice. We called it bird jambalaya.

I would try crow if somebody went through the work preparing it for me and everything. I probably wouldn't shoot some crows on purpose to eat though.
I am a man that would eat anything, but I just don't know about carp. When matt_brown said a carp tasted like a shad smells just made me turn away from carp.
Switch the a and r and it is crap.

Switch the a and r and it is crap. some people don't understand this but I see carp as more of a sport fish. One of my all time favorite fish to catch.

I work with two Czech guys and carp is Christmas dinner. Typically they are kept in a filtered tank for a week or two prior, probably similar to lobsters at Publix.
