Carried my worm rod and was throwing an 8" pumpkin seed lizard with a chart tail.
After a few casts I couldn't stand it and used my ultralight with a rapala straight minnow.
Very slow retrive with no twitches worked.
Caught 3 crappie 
Nothing over 12" and all released to die another day.
