These perch are starting to show up in Pickwick. Never crossed my mind that they would be good to eat.
I've never had any but they are in the same family as sauger and walleye, so if they are anything like their cousins, I bet they are good.

They are excellent eating, but don't try to scale them!
Those scales are like armor plating. Much better idea to fillet them off the skin, as we found out the hard way.
