So it is illegal to have a loaded rifle in the United States of America?
Wow, hope I never got lost hunting and have to walk down the road to get to my truck.

This will test the modern day temperature of our Judicial system here in Tennessee.

“The state troopers are doing their job, and while it’s legal to carry a gun around, it does upset some people so it’s best to keep it hid, I think,” attendee Jeff Quinn told reporters.
Are you kidding me?! It upsets some people? Best to keep it hid?! I think it's high time we don't keep them hidden, any more, and actually show them more! And not unloaded either. Constitutionally, no harm done, but this will, as has been stated, test the judicial system and constitutional stance of our state govt for sure.

Sorry guys but I agree with the police arresting him. That guy did NOT help us at all by doing that.
First off he did break the law, he was carrying a loaded rifle downtown, he was not in the woods hunting.
Right now the anti-guners are pushing for more laws, rules and regulations than they have in years, you all know it. Here we are at a PRO-GUN rally, showing our support for the Second Amendment. Instead of seeing us law abiding citizens who ban together in groups and only want to protect OUR rights they now see that guy being arrested on national TV and it shows us as LAW BREAKERS. The very thing the anti-gun crowd has ALWAYS SAID WE WERE FROM DAY ONE. Now instead of us using the video to HELP us the anti-guners will use it to show us that they were right all along. They will use it to drum up more support for THEIR CAUSE.
I read somewhere else asking if that guy was a plant. It would not supprise me. Remember at the Tea Party rallys liberals would come to them and yell "black man" and guess who they and their media said were yelling that??? The Tea Party members which was a lie but we never could prove it.
All that guy has done here is play right into the anti-guners hands.

Be aware, it is a crime to possess a loaded gun in Tennessee, there are defenses against prosecution such as a Handgun Carry permit, but it is still a crime to go armed in TN.
39-17-1307. Unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.
(a) (1) A person commits an offense who carries with the intent to go armed a firearm, a knife with a blade length exceeding four inches (4''), or a club.

That is why I am glad I live in GA, when it comes to carrying weapons and a weapons licence. In GA. your GWCL is an element of the offense instead of merely an affirmative defense. Anywhere you can carry a pistol you can carry a long gun or a knife, with a permit, period.
