I found a Springfield 1911 a1 about 20 shells shot through it. It comes with 100 rounds 2 clips and a holster. He wanting 800 for it all . Trying to see if its a good deal. And how dependable are they ?

Is it a GI, Mil-Spec, Loaded, or what?

If it is a GI or Mil-Spec, $800 is too much.

I am curious about the holster though, if it is a high end holster you could be dealing with $100 or so of value.
The ammo is only going to add $40-$50 in value.

To answer your question, Springfield 1911's are very dependable.

I bought a brand new Mil-Spec Springfield 1911 for $575 + shipping this past fall. That was a good deal though, most were going for about $650.

Based on the trigger and thumbsaftey, it looks like a loaded, and $800 isn't bad for the package.

However, the rear sight doesn't look like the one that would come on it.
I would get as much information from the seller as possible. Ask what model Springfield 1911 it is, and what mods that he has made.

I will. It's from a guy I work with and he and his wife just had a baby . Is the only reason he's wanting to get rid of it . I try to find some more on it .

Looks like a Springfield RO (range officer) to me. They are about 800$ new, so depending on what kind of holster + ammo, it sounds like an OK deal.
