And just think, each one of those #8 TSS pellets has energy and penetration similar to a #5 lead pellet! My thoughts are instead of going for a denser pattern with this #8 TSS, why not opt for a more open choke (say "Modified"), providing a similar pellet density at 45 yards to #6 lead, but the larger pattern making it easier to hit birds up close, as most should be.
