I can only imagine. Does not fit the template for modern consumption.
A dirt poor, inner-city black child who learns of God, Refuses to be a victim and fights his way into a private school and excels?

I like what he has to say on those topics, and it would be interesting to hear his stance on foreign policy, etc.
If he has political aspirations though, he needs to run as a democrat - if he runs as a republican, his political career would be very short lived as he would be crucified by the media and be labeled as an "Uncle Tom" by other blacks.

I think he could handle the MSM and the left, getting by the GOP elitest to get the front runner spot would be the problem.
I think he MIGHT even be sharpe enough and clean enough to beat them. I havent found anything "YET" they could use on him.

Carson may find himself described in the media as a "Former burger flipper" or "Walmart stock boy"
Insulting and labeling black conservatives is the Media's favorite past time.

In the book, a couple of things that have stuck in my mind (no pun intended as Dr. Carson is a neurosurgeon) are that of Dr. Carson's hand/eye coordination is enormously in tune...and - he has the ability to look at whatever part of a patient's brain he's working with and create - in his mind - a 3 dimensional model of what the brain should be like based upon where he is working at the time.
Another person in history with such a 'bird's eye view' of things was Leonardo da Vinci. Some speculate da Vinci exhibited traits of a "savant" - although most savants are spectacular in one area with other areas suffering (something da Vinci didn't exhibit).
I realize this is off on a tangent...It is just amazing to me just how - and when - God chooses to show his power through man...and it's just something that interests me and felt I'd share.

Interesting.
Just imagine, had his mother not turned off that TV and made them read books instead, he would have been lost in the welfare state.
How many other geniuses have been robbed by the "Help" of the socialist state?
How many times have WE been robbed of productive minds? Instead, they got on the wagon, cried they were a victim of slavery 200+ years ago and wasted away on drug and alcohol?
Why can't we get a conservative to talk about the acidic effects of the welfare state and point out the great loss we're suffered as a result?
No, instead all they talk about is which party is going to give more to those who do the least. It's a race to the bottom while we have this shining example of what can be achieve if we just REVERSE the system and reward those who put forth EFFORT instead of lazy excuses and whining victimhood stories.
