I would stay with a good brand name like (compound)TenPoint, Horton, or (recurve)Excalibur, Horton? What ever you decide to get I would stay with the 150 to 175 pound range. Just my 2.5 cents worth.

I have a Horton MAX IMPACT And that thing is very accurate.I would invest in a cocking rope,just 25.00 at BASS PRO and cuts poundage pullback in half.Really helps these worn out joints.
