Took mine 2 1/2 weeks. Of course that was before all hell broke loose.

Has anyone heard of a changed in the HCP permit renewal process? I was told over the weekend by a guy that hails from Fla, that he went to get his Fla HCP transferred to TN and was told that, if he had gotten there 2 weeks before, all he would have had to do was hand over $50 and they would have transferred it for him. NOW he was told that he will have to re-take the course AND pay the $115(?) for the permit all over again. When he asked if this was just b/c he was from Fla, the guy told him that EVERYONE who renews will now have to do the same! So, what he's saying is, that no more $50 renewal fee for 4 years, but we will have to take the entire course over and pay full price for a permit, again! I haven't heard anything about it, yet, but just wondering if any of you had.

Got my renewal notice in the mail last week.So this must not be true.
My bet is your friend let his carry permit from Fl. expire.

This is what I asked him as well, but he insists that the guy told him that everyone will have to re-up from the start so-to-speak. I just had a co-worker say he's heard the same thing. I don't know what to think now, b/c I haven't heard from a credible source yet about the legal wording. Just hope its not true b/c I will not re-up if it is.

I sent my renewal in and got it all back in 3 weeks this was about 2 months ago
