What transmission? If your running a PG the 4.56 will be fine N/A. But if your running a 3 speed it might be hard to control wheel spin at the hit. Mine with a PG, 4.10 and a 28" tire would turn 6500 in the 1/8 NA and 7600 with a 150 shot. Thats all with a fairly loose converter flashing 5400 and shifting a 6800

Its alot more expensive than hunting - have owned several bracket cars & they eat $100 bills at a fast pace
this week im installing 33 spline strange axles full spool in the race car
but also going from 26 to 28 inch tires
should i stay with 4.10 gear or go with my 4.56 i have
also thinking of going 4.30 dang DA. that has to be an expensive hobby. sounds more costly than hunting!!

I would put the 4.56 in. What engine and trans are you running? How much power/ tq, and how heavy is the car? What E.T. does it normally run, and what do your 60 ft times look like?

I grew up working at a local speed shop in east tn before joining the army so this sort of stuff is right down my alley.

387 ci (393 but stock bore) c-4
no idea weight id guess 3250 with me in it
never had it on dyno runs 7.30's 93 mph NA in 1/8
but that is with 26 inch tires and 3.73 gears spining a lil 1.59 -1.60 60 foot when i went 4.10 gear and 26 she spun more go figure
