That will be plenty for a stock suspention mustang with the power level your working with. Your problem is gonna be a 2.46 1st gear, 4.56 rear gear and a 28" tire. I tried that exact combo and could not control the wheel spin at the hit. Thats tractor gears when you put it all together

And your converter is going to flash quite a bit higher now. So you may have to change your shift points

well my converter flash 5g from 2g foot brake when i use trans brake i launch 3500
i only shift at 5900 i dont care to run her harder than that

that is my problem
dont have enuff cam
540/560
the engine is like 12:1 it has 5.0 flat top pistons zero deck height 60 cc head
I know the fella the built it he did block work with a die grinder cut skirts off pistons and hand cut valve reliefs in the pistons i thought he was bs ing me till i have to pull the heads last year
i just dont thing i can get a bigger cam due to valve clearance
id like to put a solid roller in it
